Who We Are

HN Proficiency Testing, Inc. is an A2LA accredited proficiency testing provider for calibration laboratories. This policy describes what information we collect through this website and how we use it.

What We Collect

When you create a login ID or participate in our proficiency tests, we collect the information needed to run the tests: your name, email address, company name and contact information, shipping addresses, and the test results and measurement uncertainties you report. Passwords are stored in encrypted form.

How We Use It

We use this information solely to provide our proficiency testing services: scheduling tests, shipping test packages, evaluating results, issuing reports, and invoicing. We send transactional emails (booking confirmations, shipping notifications, reports, and invoices). If you have not participated in a test for a while, we also send occasional reminder emails — at 3, 6, 12, 18, and 24 months after your last participation. If you participate regularly, you never receive them, and they stop automatically after 24 months. These reminders are sent through Mailchimp, which receives your email address for that purpose. We do not sell or rent your information to anyone.

Confidentiality of Participation

We keep your participation and your results confidential, unless you tell us otherwise. When packages ship directly between participants, we disclose the shipping contact information needed to make that work, and we require all participants to keep it confidential.

Cookies

This site uses cookies only to keep you logged in and to maintain your session. There are no advertising, analytics, or third-party tracking cookies.

Payments

Credit card payments are processed by PayPal on PayPal's own website. We never see or store your card details.

Subcontractors

Some aspects of our proficiency testing schemes, such as calibration of artifacts, are subcontracted to competent subcontractors. HN Proficiency Testing remains responsible for this work.

Retention

We retain test records and reports indefinitely, so your complete test history remains available to you whenever you return.
